What it is
AI Alumni MeetingAI is a desktop application for Windows, built by 6AM Solutions Inc. for the AI Alumni Collaboration group. When a meeting recording finishes, the app transcribes it and drafts a summary of the meeting. Both steps run locally on the user's own computer: speech recognition uses a Whisper model and summarization uses a local Ollama model, so the recording is not sent to any AI service.
How it uses Google Drive
The app asks for one Google permission, access to files it creates or that you open with it (the drive.file scope). It cannot see the rest of your Drive. With that permission it:
- lets you choose one destination folder in Google Drive through Google's own folder picker
- uploads the timestamped transcript, and optionally the meeting video, into that folder
- checks that the uploaded copy matches the local file, then links to it in the draft summary
How a summary is published
The draft summary is sent privately to the person running the app in Telegram. Nothing is posted to the group until that person approves the draft.
Your control
You can revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account, under Security, then Third-party apps and services. Files the app already uploaded stay in your Drive and remain yours.
